Art quilt created from a photograph taken by quilter Marie Strassburger on a backpacking trip.   Marie Lake, located on the John Muir Trail in the Sierra Mountains, is named after one of John Muir’s daughters.  Lots of detail throughout this quilt combined with it’s larger size make this quilt really special.  This gorgeous quilt has been described as “a painting with fabric” by art show attendees.  It will look beautiful on a prominent wall.
